5.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Christmas Vacation tale!, December 30, 2011 This review is from: Flamingo Blues (Kindle Edition) Sharon Kleve's short story, Flamingo Blues, stars Corny - a woman who can hear what animals are really saying about those around them. She also has an understanding boyfriend named Steve, who helps her with some of the animals in need. But Cory's desire to help a flock of flamingos make it back to their lake by Christmas may get her into trouble. Flamingo Blues is a very cute, funny, light-hearted, uplifting read. Perfect for the holidays or any time throughout the year. Very enjoyable! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and Fun Holiday Tale, December 21, 2011 This review is from: Flamingo Blues (Kindle Edition) Corny Myers has the unique ability to talk to the animals. Her talent is both a bane and boon to her. Steve, her cop boyfriend, tolerates this unique ability but it does present a challenge for their relationship at times. On what is supposed to be a romantic holiday weekend for the two of them, Corny is approached by the senior flamingo from a flamingo exhibit in a well known park like garden. She learns of the bird's unhappiness. They were transported from a lake they loved to be put on display at the garden. They want to go "home" to the lake.

It's one crazy, fun escapade when Corny decides to help the flamingos without Steve's knowledge. This is a holiday story that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

I look forward to more clever and humorous stories by Ms. Kleve

I love reading romance, living romance (who doesn't), but I especially love writing paranormal romance. There's no greater feeling than watching my characters come alive in each other's arms. Most of all, I love giving my characters the happily ever afters they deserve, with a few bumps and bruises along the way.

One of my favorite things is picking up a new book and sinking into the story, immersing myself in the emotions between the characters. I hope someday to inspire readers the same way my favorite authors have inspired me.

When not writing, I can usually be found either curled up in my recliner with my cat and a good book, or in the kitchen baking sourdough bread or bagels. My least favorite activity is running laps around the high school track to burn off the bread and bagels and occasionally chocolate.
